As both coach and consultant, I have had the privilege of over 25 years of work experience in helping leaders and their teams to excel. My passion is helping good people to do good things in the world. Whether mission-based or public service, I love working with organizations than have as their mission improving the world and people in it.
I believe that we live our best lives when we do so with awareness and intent. Just as I help others to improve how they show up, I never stop doing the same for myself. Aside from continuous academic pursuits (finishing a second Masters), various certifications in Team Coaching, Emotional Intelligence, Mind-Body connection, etc I seek out numerous opportunities outside my field all with an eye to how I can become a better, more compassionate and effective human being.
What I love most is helping Leaders and their teams through Team Coaching. I have found it be an outstanding developmental tool in helping the leader and their teams to grow and evolve in real time. At the heart of this work, is forging very trusting relationships with my clients. When entering a coaching engagement, I hold scared space for the individual (and team) to learn, explore and take risks to achieve their desired state. Coaching requires a collaborative partnership that is driven by the client and then wholly supported by my presence and expertise.
There are two areas of particular interest to me these days. One is the body of work around presence--being present—in the moment, aware, awake and intentional both when I am alone and when I am with others. And the other, is keeping gratitude and joy in my heart every day. I love Pema Chodron’s Awaking Loving Kindness.
What some don’t know about me is that I am the product of a Physician father and an Artist mother—and I love the that I have preferences for both left and right brain thinking. I always enjoy seeing how that shows up in my work!
