Sheryl Vogt has been working with process improvement programs such as Lean and Six Sigma since 1996 when she was trained as one of the first Black Belts at the General Electric Company. After working successfully as a Black Belt and Master Black Belt in manufacturing, engineering, and service areas for General Electric, Sheryl began work as an independent consultant in 2000 and started Vogt Consulting, Inc in 2002.

As a consultant, Sheryl has assisted numerous organizations in all aspects of their continuous improvement efforts, from developing deployment plans with organizational leaders to mentoring and training individuals and facilitating improvement teams. She has developed and delivered Lean Six Sigma programs and training for manufacturing, service, healthcare, and government organizations and has mentored hundreds of Black and Green Belts on their projects.

Sheryl’s clients have included: 3M, Sears, Vulcan Materials, American Electric Power, the city of Fort Wayne, Brunswick Bowling and Billiards, Family and Social Services Agency of Indiana, Parkview Hospital, Charter Steel, Greenlee Textron, Calmar, Fairchild Semiconductor, Boston Scientific, MedSolutions, Dometic, Freightliner, Turtle Wax, Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation, WESCO distribution, Memorial Hospital (Belleville, Il.), Visiting Nurse Service of NY, and DePaul Industries. Currently, Sheryl is a faculty member of our Graduate Certificate in Organization Performance Improvement.
