Women Leaders on the Rise

Developing
High Potential Women Leaders
Early in Their Careers

Key findings released in the McKinsey and Co’s Fifth Annual Women in the Workplace show that, contrary to common beliefs, women are not held back by either their lack of ambition or a desire to start a family. In spite of that, men outnumber women nearly 2 to 1 in reaching the first rung of the organizational leadership ladder. The study also states that employers may not be cultivating women for leadership early enough.

Women Leaders on the Rise is a 2-day inaugural program, specifically designed for first-time women managers and women who have the aptitude and interest in taking on management roles. The experience supports women in developing leadership and management skills to enable career success, while addressing obstacles they may face early in their careers.

The program is presented by Leslie Grossman, Senior Fellow and Executive Coach at GW CEPL, and founder of the Women’s Leadership Exchange. She is the author of "LINK OUT: How to Turn Your Network into a Chain of Lasting Connections".

Ideal for
  • Employees or supervisors who aspire to positions of greater influence and authority in their organizations
  • Those identified as high-potential talent by their organizations
  • Junior-level managers who lead small teams or have direct reports
  • Entrepreneurs, business owners, and family business professionals preparing for a leadership role
  • Young leaders at non-profits

For women in mid-level and senior executive roles we offer a different experience, called the Executive Women’s Leadership Program (EWLP).

Learning Objectives

The program addresses seven practice areas women can put into action immediately to propel career growth and development. These include:

  • Creating a Vision for One’s Career
  • Building Influential Relationships & Networks
  • Effective Communication
  • Executive Presence
  • Growth Mindset
  • Confidence
  • Resilience
Collaboration Circles to Continue Learning and Networking

Following each cohort, we offer the option to continue the learning with a monthly 90-minute-long ‘virtual’ Collaboration Circle, at no additional cost ($997 value). The coaching experience can be accessed online for 6 months following completion of the Women Leaders on the Rise program. Collaboration Circle members put their new insights from the program into real-life practice. They expand their network through closer relationships, solve professional challenges, and embrace new opportunities through group coaching and member support.
