Tony Stamilio’s passion is to support executives and leaders in making their organizations and people the best they can be...and have some fun on the journey! For over 40 years, he has led organizations large and small, making leaders and teams successful. Following a successful 30-year career in the Army commanding units and managing strategic level staff agencies, Mr. Stamilio embarked on a career as a federal executive. He served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the US Capitol Police Department and Chief Human Capital Officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He culminated his federal executive career as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army.
In June 2016, he launched First Step Coaching and Consulting, LLC to share his 40+ years of experience in collecting “scar tissue” with leaders who are interested in learning and improving themselves, their organizations and their people. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the Army Management Staff College and the Air Force Staff College. Mr. Stamilio is certified through the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach and received his training through George Mason University Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certificate program.

Anthony is a blessed with a wonderful wife, 2 kids and 3 grandkids. He and his wife enjoy travel and building projects in our new home. Occasionally, Anthony allows trout to taunt him on fly fishing streams.
