Nick Reese

Nick Reese is the Chief Operating Officer of Optica Labs, an artificial intelligence stress testing company focused on human centered AI. Nick has a long career in national and homeland security serving at home and abroad. Previously, Nick was the first Director of Emerging Technology at the US Department of Homeland Security where he authored technology policy for the White House and Cabinet departments. After leaving the military, Nick worked in the intelligence community in multiple operational and supervisory roles. He is a frequently published author and public speaker on emerging technology topics. Nick lives in the Washington DC area with his wife and their dog and enjoys gardening and beekeeping.
