- YELLOW BELT CERTIFICATION
Our Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (Process Improvement Specialist) certification helps you start your journey to discovering the tools necessary to lead your organization through times of change and challenge.
Earn a certification as a Yellow Belt (Process Improvement Specialist) by completing the following Certification Requirements:
- Attend 8 hours of Lean Six Sigma introductory topics and simulation
- Attend three (3) of the following 2-hour webinars:
- Leading Virtual Teams
- Data Types and Data Integrity – Understand and Trust Your Data
- Measure Tools and Graphs
- Root Cause with Teams
- Hypothesis Testing – Using Data to Prove Relationships
- Generating Solutions
- Testing Improvements with Data – How to Set Up and Run Pilots
- Creating Feedback Loops for Control
- Submit evidence of practical application of at least three (3) tools and concepts learned
- Pass certification exam
By completing this certification, participants have the skills to:
- Evaluate processes for value creation using Lean principles
- Manage process performance using good metrics
- Utilize data to drive evidence-based decision-making and policymaking
- Empower teams to effectively problem-solve and improve their work areas
- Plus advanced skills with feedback in the three areas you chose to focus on above
- 1.6 CEU’s

- GREEN BELT CERTIFICATION
Our Green Belt certification is the next step beyond Yellow Belt when you are ready to really dive into improving a key process in your organization. A Yellow Belt certification is not required for registration in this course. If you have been through our Yellow Belt though, we let you “stack” this certification so that you don’t have to repeat the modules you have already completed in Yellow Belt.
Earn a Green Belt certification by completing the following Certification Requirements:
- 34 hours of remote live interactive classroom experiences where you learn through exercises, case studies, and group discussions.
- 40 hours of a self-paced online component through Moresteam.com, a leading online international Lean Six Sigma content provider with numerous supporting resources such as simulations, toolsets, videos, interactive practice exercises, and quizzes.
- 4 hours of one-on-one coaching with Master Black Belt instructors who possess 20+ years of industry expertise to assist you in applying the course content to a project you select in your organization.
- Successfully pass a Green Belt test to demonstrate mastery of theory
- Submit your completed Green Belt project for a rigorous review of practical application expertise.
One of the distinguishing features of this program is the practical learning that comes with completing a process improvement project within their sponsoring organization. Participants will not only know the theory but will have the proof that they have mastered the skills necessary to lead successful Green Belt projects that provide real impact in their organizations.

Our Black Belt certification is the final step in our Lean Six Sigma program. Join us for Black Belt certification when you are ready to learn advanced tools for both data and organizational improvement. Black Belts complete complex projects and also design new processes to help their organizations embrace a culture of Continuous Improvement. A Green Belt certification is required for registration in this course. If you have earned your Green Belt through a different certification program or it’s been longer than 2 years since you earned your Green Belt, you are still welcome to join us! We simply ask you to take our quick assessment so that we can recommend any prep or refresher work that will get you ready to join the course fully prepared.

- Selecting and Defining Improvement Projects: This 8-hour webinar will cover tools and techniques for understanding customer and market needs and aligning this to organizational strategy. We will discuss how to prioritize the projects and ideas that will make the biggest impact in your organization and then use multiple approaches to practice scoping these into achievable goals for the resources that are available. Tools you can use from this session include Voice of the Customer, Project Priority, Scoping, and Project Charter plans and templates.

- Understanding the Current State: This 8-hour webinar covers tools and techniques for understanding what is really happening today and using data to create baseline metrics that matter. We will discuss multiple Gemba and process mapping strategies to help uncover the real processes that are being used in your organization. Then we will dive into more detail about how to measure these processes with defined metrics and statistical techniques to determine not only if there is a problem but to define the type of problem that is occurring. Tools you can use from this session include Process Map, Data and KPI identification, Basic Statistics, and SPC tools and templates. Minitab, Engine Room, or Excel can be used for these tools.

This coaching package includes virtual meetings and email support for one month after your webinar to assist with your application of the tools. Sheryl Vogt has been working with process improvement programs such as Lean and Six Sigma since 1996 when she was trained as one of the first Black Belts at the General Electric Company. As a consultant, Sheryl has assisted numerous organizations in all aspects of their continuous improvement efforts, from developing deployment plans with organizational leaders to mentoring and training individuals and facilitating improvement teams.

Amita Sherwood has been working with process improvement programs such as Lean and Six Sigma since 2000 when she was a member of GE Capital’s Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP) and was certified as a Black Belt early in her career.
