Certificate Program in ERM for Government

Tools and Techniques for an Enterprise-Level
Risk Management Paradigm

Public sector organizations face more and diverse crises today than ever before. Given our connected world, these disruptive events can have a rippling effect throughout an organization, crippling its ability to meet its mission and strategic objectives. A new risk management paradigm is required, one that is grounded in an organization's strategic goals and priorities, and takes into account the ever-changing, dynamic government operating environment.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) offers a framework that can help organizations understand and manage the full spectrum of risks they confront, thereby improving uncertainty planning and achieving better performance results. To implement such a framework, organizations need persons who can help build a successful ERM Program that provides an integrated, holistic view of risk that is both inward- and outward-focused.

GW’s Certificate Program in Enterprise Risk Management for Government is designed to provide you and your organization with the fundamental concepts and processes, principles, tools and techniques of ERM in the context of organizational change. The program will not only help you develop your knowledge of the ERM process, procedures and skills, but also enable you to apply the coursework to a practical application relevant to your organization.
