Kateryna Pyatybratova currently serves as the Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development for the GW Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (GW CEPL). Kateryna has served at the Center since 2010 in increasingly more significant roles, most recently leading the Center staff in the creation of a new strategic plan as the Center enters its third decade. She also directs The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Awards for Distinguished DC Government Employees, an annual awards program that highlights significant accomplishments by District of Columbia Government employees in improving the quality of life for all those who live, work, do business, and visit the nation’s capital.
 
As the Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development, Ms. Pyatybratova is responsible for identifying, developing, and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders and partners of GW CEPL. In addition, as a member of GW-CEPL's core leadership team, she has been leading the Center in thinking more strategically to address the complex and changing landscape of public sector leadership development, while growing its brand nationally and internationally.
 
Kateryna is a certified Project Management Professional and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, with more than seven years of relevant work experience in project and program management, working with GW-CEPL's federal clients. In particular, she served as the Project Manager for the Center’s delivery of the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Executive Level and Operations Management Course, as well as for multiple leadership programs delivered by GW CEPL for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
 
Kateryna graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University’s School of International Affairs, where she also completed a Joint M.B.A. and Master’s degree in European and Eurasian Studies with the GW School of Business. In 2017 she received a Certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from Stanford University. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering and mentoring young women aspiring to careers in public service.
