Dr. Jing Burgi-Tian is the Program Director of International Programs and Certified Public Manager Programs at The George Washington University, Center for Excellence in Public Leadership. Her current work at the Center includes managing two intensive leadership development programs accredited as Certified Public Managers® Programs. She also leads the Center’s international initiatives, which includes executive education programs for government officials and private sector managers from China, Uzbekistan and other countries. Prior to joining the Center, Jing was the Assistant to the Executive Director at the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area.

Dr. Burgi-Tian is also an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University School of Business, Department of Management. She holds Ed. D in Human and Organizational Learning from the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development; a M.S. Ed in Intercultural Communication from The University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Economics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Her dissertation topic is network citizenship behavior and innovation in local governments in US.

Jing was certified as a facilitator in Net-Mapping methodology, Theory U peer learning circles, and The Leadership Challenge module.  She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Jing lives in Crystal City, VA with her husband Constantin and their sons Augustus and Aurelian. She is originally from Beijing, China, and has been living in Washington, DC area for 10 years.
